Japanese Class for after school

This class is for non-native Japanese speaking elementary school children at 1st Grade level and above.  The class is designed to supplement the Japanese language immersion curriculum to assist students with reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and conversation in Japanese in a small group setting (maximum 5 students in class).  There will be opportunity during the class to interact with native-Japanese speaking children and engage in cultural activities and events.  Students’ families will have access to learning resources including Japanese books and DVDs.

Thursday
2:00 pm – 3:00 pm (60 min for beginner)
3:30 pm – 4:45 pm (75 min for advance)
4:45 pm – 5:45 pm (60 min for advance)

Reading & Speaking
Japanese proverbs, haiku, and poets to practice Japanese speaking skills

Writing
Japanese writing, reading and comprehension skills (Small group activities) 

Listening Skills
Teacher will read Japanese books

Conversation skills (Small group activities)
